Healthy Energy for Body & Mind with Caffeine plus Nootropic L-Theanine

Imagine getting natural, clean energy and nootropic benefits from a single beverage? greenteaHAWAII combines green tea extract with additional L-theanine and noni fruit extract to do just that. It’s also inexpensive, sustainable, readily available, perfectly measured and the taste is enjoyable, never bitter.  The clean energy-boosting properties of green tea are quite remarkable. One of the benefits that stand out is its potential to support adrenal function, unlike other forms of caffeine. Our unique green tea beverage has all the benefits one could ask for and ultimately supports a healthy and quality lifestyle.

Green Tea Helps Adrenal Function

The adrenal glands produce hormones that help regulate your metabolism, immune system, blood pressure, response to stress as well as other essential functions. Although it’s not an official medical diagnosis, the term “adrenal fatigue” refers to a myriad of nonspecific symptoms that are thought to be regulated by the adrenal system. Examples of these nonspecific symptoms are fatigue, body aches, digestive problems, nervousness and anxiety, and difficulty achieving restful sleep. Studies have suggested that too much caffeine may cause the adrenal glands to produce too much cortisol. Cortisol is a primary stress hormone.  Research showed that excessive amounts of caffeine from coffee may increase cortisol production whereas regular caffeine from green tea may actually lower cortisol levels. According to nature.com’s article The Science of Tea’s Mood Altering Magic: “Tea catechins — antioxidants such as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) — account for up to 42% of the dry weight of brewed green tea, and the amino acid L-theanine makes up around 3%. EGCG is thought to make people feel calmer and improve memory and attention when consumed on its own. L-theanine is found to have a similar effect when consumed in combination with caffeine. Up to 5% of the dry weight of green tea is caffeine, which is known to improve mood, alertness, and cognition.”

What is Green Tea Extract?

Green tea extract is a concentration of green tea that includes polyphenols, including the powerful catechin referenced above known as “epigallocatechin gallate.” Green tea is known to have the highest concentration of polyphenols and antioxidant benefits.  It is not recommended for use with other stimulants. Excessive consumption of green tea extract products may lead to liver toxicity. Our measured tea beverages contain a safe blend of green tea extract, additional L-theanine, and noni fruit extract.

Why added L-theanine?

Green tea contains the highest amount of natural theanine, but to get the most nootropic benefit from the amino acid we added 100 mg to each single-serve tea packet of greenteaHAWAII.

Nootropics are a category of supplements and vitamins that are considered cognitive enhancers, like L-theanine. L-theanine offers the following benefits:

  • It modulates alpha brainwave activity
  • It helps promote calm neurotransmitters
  • Increases focus and attention
  • Stress-relief
  • Improves immunity
  • Improves quality of sleep

Our green tea beverage is a mix of natural caffeine with nootropic benefits that supports adrenal function and the brain to offer the best energy-boosting beverage. Many users prefer drinking greenteaHAWAII first thing in the morning as a coffee replacement, and then again mid-day for an afternoon pick-me-up.  Visit our shop to see our selection of products and greenteaHAWAII flavors.
